Food, neighbourhoods and conversation

Israel Around the Table

Food gives a group an easy way into a place. Build a journey around a few good encounters: the bustle of a market, the care behind a family recipe, a meal with enough time for conversation. Balance the tasting stops with history, fresh air and the pleasure of doing less.

The route

Tel Aviv & Jaffa · Jerusalem · Optional Judean Hills

Made for

Friends, couples and private groups who enjoy culture through food.

One way your story could unfold

A little structure.
A lot to discover.

01

A first taste of the coast

Arrive in Tel Aviv and settle in before a relaxed welcome meal. Use the evening to introduce the group's food preferences, pace and appetite for trying unfamiliar dishes. Keep the menu approachable and the schedule light after a day of travelling.

02

A market with a story

Explore a chosen Tel Aviv market with a guide or host whose route has been arranged for the group. Plan a manageable number of tastings and space between them. Continue into the surrounding neighbourhood before a free afternoon and an optional evening meal.

03

Jaffa, slowly

Spend the morning among Jaffa's streets and market area, combining a little history with time to browse. Arrange lunch around the group's interests and dietary requirements. The afternoon can stay open for art, the waterfront or a quiet break at the hotel.

04

Jerusalem's everyday flavours

Transfer to Jerusalem and use Mahane Yehuda as an introduction to the city's contemporary life. Choose a quieter or busier market window deliberately rather than by accident. Leave space for individual discoveries and keep dinner lighter if the day includes substantial tastings.

05

Make something together

Arrange a cooking experience or a privately hosted meal, subject to a suitable provider and confirmed requirements. The pleasure is in participating and sharing the result. Add a short neighbourhood or hills outing only if it supports the day rather than crowding it.

06

Breakfast and goodbyes

Leave time for a final breakfast before individual departures. If guests want edible gifts, plan those purchases earlier and remind them to check their destination's import rules. The last day should feel easy, with no essential experience competing against an airport transfer.

Before we put dates in the diary

  • Tell us about allergies, kosher requirements, vegetarian or vegan preferences and foods to avoid. Each provider's suitability and supervision must be verified separately.
  • Market opening patterns and restaurant operations vary around Shabbat and holidays. Final dates determine the order of the programme.
  • Hosts, chefs and workshops are proposed and contracted for your dates. This sample does not imply a standing partnership with any named venue.
Our journeys are starting points, not scheduled departures. Routes and experiences depend on current official guidance, local conditions and the needs of your group. Read our travel notes before making commitments.
