A little preparation.
A more considered journey.
Official information and practical questions to help shape your plans. Last editorial review: 1 November 2026.
Start with current official advice
Travel conditions, flights and access can change. Review the guidance for your nationality and itinerary, discuss insurance coverage directly with your insurer, and follow local authorities during your visit. A destination appearing here is not a statement that travel there is currently advisable.

Entry requirements and ETA-IL
Visa-exempt travellers generally need an ETA-IL before travel. Requirements depend on citizenship and status. Use the official eligibility checker, verify passport requirements, and apply in good time. An authorisation does not guarantee admission.

Choose the rhythm around the season
Coast, hills and desert can feel very different on the same day. Allow for heat, shade, water, indoor alternatives and layers for cooler evenings. Check the actual forecast near departure. Desert and wadi walks require specific attention to flash-flood warnings and current park instructions.

Plan Shabbat and holidays deliberately
Opening hours, public transport and meal options vary by place and observance. Choose hotels with the right location for your plans, discuss your family’s religious preferences and confirm Friday evening and Saturday arrangements before travel.

Make access and guest needs specific
Ask about actual distances, surfaces, gradients, steps, shade, toilets and vehicle access. A site with an accessible entrance may still contain inaccessible areas. At Masada, for example, the cable car route differs from stepped sections of the site. We use your group’s needs to choose the right visit, rather than relying on a blanket label.

Check the day’s conditions
National parks, museums and religious sites may require reservations or have changing access rules. En Gedi’s official page reported flood damage and modified trails at our review. Do not assume its usual easy family route is available; confirm the permitted route directly or choose an alternative.

Agree the essentials before booking
Dates, accommodation, transfers, guiding, meals, kosher standards, allergy arrangements, ceremony permissions, production scope and cancellation terms should be explicit in your written proposal. Our sample routes are starting points, not tickets or confirmed bookings.
Let’s make it yours.
